I'm still on cloud nine after finally getting to see Hamilton live.
It's funny because this whole obsession started with Mackenzie asking me to watch “this musical” with her. I wasn't exactly thrilled about the idea at first, but I watched it — and absolutely fell in love with it. I've watched it more times than I could ever count since then.
Seeing Hamilton on Broadway has been #2 on my list for New York for the longest time, so when I realized it was coming to Nashville, there was no way I was missing it.
And it was everything I hoped it would be.
I sat there like a little kid on the edge of my seat. The music, the dancing, the storytelling — seeing something I've watched so many times actually happening right in front of me was incredible.
I also did this one completely for myself. I bought one ticket because it was expensive, but more than that, I knew how much I wanted to be there. I didn't need to wait until somebody else could go with me to do something I'd wanted to do for so long.
Life looks completely different for me right now than I ever thought it would. I'm still figuring out where all of this is taking me, but I'm learning to trust God's plan, enjoy the journey I'm on, and take the opportunities in front of me.
And tonight was a pretty good reminder that I'm definitely not throwing away my shot.
